360 view of square	Developed by the First Baron of Southampton, Fitzroy Square was named after his grandfather, Charles Fitzroy, Second Duke of Grafton. The east/south sides of the square were built in the 1790s, following the design of William and Robert Adam, with the west/north sides added in 1829.

Bedford Square is very well served by buses. The main bus routes that feed Bedford Square are Gower St. from the North (nos. 10,24, 29, 73, 134, 390), Tottenham Court Rd. (nos. 10, 24, 29, 73, 134, 390) and New Oxford St. (7,8, 10, 25, 55, 73, 98, 176, 390). From the East and West, take nos. 8, 25 & 242 are also good as are the 19 and 38. Ask for the nearest stop to Bedford Square.
